Funder: Neurological Foundation
Due Dates: Rolling (up to two years after the parent grant ends)
Funding Amounts: Up to NZ$4,200 or NZ$4,500, depending on the parent grant award date; valid for one year
Summary: Supports Foundation-funded researchers, fellows and PhD scholars to travel for research presentations, relevant methodological training, or project-related laboratory and clinic visits.
Key Information: Investigators funded through a Foundation small project grant are not eligible.
The Neurological Foundation’s Travel Grant supports recipients of eligible Foundation project, scholarship or fellowship funding to attend conferences, meetings and training connected to their funded research. Supported activities include presenting a paper or poster about that research, attending a research-methodology course relevant to the project, or visiting a laboratory or clinic for a specified project-related purpose.
Travel must contribute to the Foundation’s purpose: advancing knowledge of the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of nervous-system diseases and disorders. This purpose also encompasses research into patient care and rehabilitation, training in medical and social-science research methods, and dissemination of neurological knowledge. The recipient’s host organisation administers the grant.
