The program funds conference-related travel and attendance expenses rather than the research itself.
Scientific novelty and quality are central to selection, with preference given to unpublished work. Reviewers also consider the presentation’s potential impact, including the conference’s type and size and whether another member of the same laboratory has received funding to present at that meeting. The research being presented does not need to be funded by the Jain Foundation.
