Description
Tree Line USA is an Arbor Day Foundation national recognition program for public and private utilities. It promotes sound utility pruning and recognizes practices that support reliable service while caring for urban forests. Recognition is earned annually for activities completed between January 1 and December 31.
In Rhode Island, the Department of Environmental Management’s Urban and Community Forestry Program assists applicants, reviews applications, forwards approved applications to the Arbor Day Foundation for final review, and distributes award materials. The program recognizes tree care, worker training, public education, tree-based energy conservation, and Arbor Day activities rather than funding projects.
