The Tri-Agency Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements Pilot Initiative provides financial support to outstanding Indigenous students who have applied to the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship—Master’s (CGRS M) program. The initiative aims to recognize and foster the academic and research achievements of Indigenous graduate students in Canada by offering both an award and a supplement, administered through the Tri-Agencies (NSERC, SSHRC; not CIHR). Successful applicants may receive both the Indigenous Scholars Award ($27,000) and the Indigenous Scholars Supplement ($5,000) for one year of full-time, research-based graduate study.
