The Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements Pilot Initiative provides targeted financial support to meritorious Indigenous students who apply to the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship—Master’s (CGS M) program at eligible Canadian institutions, including UBC. The initiative aims to recognize and encourage academic achievement among Indigenous graduate students, fostering greater representation and success in advanced research-based studies. Successful applicants receive both the standard CGS M award and, subject to funding, an additional supplement.
