Description
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) administers this competitive program to support transportation for tribal communities in Washington. Established through the Legislature’s Move Ahead Washington funding package and supported by the state’s Climate Commitment Act, it is administered separately from WSDOT’s Consolidated Grant program.
Funding can support transit operations, mobility management, planning, vehicles and equipment, and small construction. The program aims to establish, preserve, and improve public transportation; expand mobility for seniors, people with disabilities, and others with limited options; and connect tribal communities with broader transportation networks. Projects are evaluated in part on community-identified need, coordination, feasibility, and measurable results.
