Description
The Truckee River Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, provides grant support for projects that protect and enhance the water quality and resources of the Truckee River and its watershed. The fund emphasizes projects with measurable environmental impact, including aquatic invasive species prevention, watershed improvements, stormwater mitigation, reforestation, local creek and drainage course rehabilitation, and environmental stewardship and education. Projects must align with the fund's mission and demonstrate substantial public benefit, especially those mitigating threats to water quality near water treatment and hydroelectric plant intakes. Land or water rights acquisition and property purchases are not eligible.
