    Description

The Truman Library Institute awards Research Grants twice annually to help graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, and other advanced researchers use the collections of the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri. Grants offset expenses for research visits of one to three weeks. The program supports work central to the Truman era that demonstrates an understanding of existing scholarship and makes a significant contribution to the literature.

Preference is given to projects relevant to enduring public policy and foreign policy issues, with a high probability of publication or other public dissemination. The spring round also includes one John K. Hulston Scholarship for a single project requiring research at the Truman Library and additional repositories.
