Description
The Translational Science Challenge is part of the South Carolina Clinical & Translational Research Institute’s (SCTR) Pilot Grant Program at MUSC. It supports pilot proposals with the potential to significantly advance translational science and catalyze downstream improvements in translational research efficiency and quality. Projects use Translational Science Principles and interdisciplinary teamwork to make research faster, more innovative, and more impactful.
The focus is scientific and operational innovation that overcomes longstanding challenges along the translational research pipeline. SCTR’s broader pilot program emphasizes new, multidisciplinary, high-impact clinical and translational science addressing medical and behavioral topics important to health outcomes and quality of life in South Carolina. The program also fosters new research collaborations.
