This fellowship supports the advanced training and professional development of senior cardiothoracic surgery residents or early career surgeons who are members of the Latin American Association of Cardiac and Endovascular Surgery (LACES). Awardees undertake a 4–10 week educational experience at a host institution in Europe or North America, focusing on addressing gaps in their surgical knowledge or skills. The program emphasizes mentorship, international collaboration, and the transfer of best practices to the applicant’s home institution.
