Description
This fellowship enables senior cardiothoracic surgery residents and early career cardiothoracic surgeons—specifically members of the Latin American Association of Cardiac and Endovascular Surgery (LACES)—to undertake a 4–10 week educational placement at a leading institution in Europe or North America. The program is designed to address gaps in knowledge or skills, foster academic excellence, and support professional development through mentorship. Awardees are expected to return to their home institutions with enhanced expertise to advance the field of cardiothoracic surgery locally.
