Description
The Community Grant Program is the flagship annual grantmaking initiative of the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, designed to support nonprofit organizations that reside in and serve Chemung and Southeastern Steuben counties, NY. Grants are available for a diverse range of fields, including arts, culture, education, youth, environment, animals, human services, and capacity building.
Organizations may apply for either:
- Project Grants: Funding for specific programs, capital projects, or organizational development.
- Unrestricted General Operating Support Grants: Flexible funding for ongoing administrative and infrastructure needs.
Proposals are evaluated by a panel of community members and approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors. Funding decisions center on alignment with priority areas such as equity, community impact, collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.
