The UBC Okanagan Indigenous Scholars Award provides financial support to Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and members of transborder Indigenous nations such as American Indian or Alaska Native) who are entering or continuing in full-time, research-based graduate programs (master’s or doctoral) at UBC Okanagan. The award is designed to foster Indigenous graduate student success and strengthen connections to Indigenous communities, in alignment with the BC Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA).
