    Description

The UC Davis Office of Research’s Interdisciplinary Research Catalyst (IRC) Faculty Fellows program supports faculty pursuing large-scale interdisciplinary funding opportunities. Managed by the Strategic Initiatives Research Funding (SIRF) team, it provides internal funding to strengthen research program development and increase competitiveness for extramural support. All interdisciplinary research fields are eligible.

The program addresses the time and resources needed to build cross-disciplinary collaborations, develop external partnerships, secure institutional support, and assemble major proposals. Alongside financial support, fellows may receive concentrated program development assistance when requested and warranted. The Office of Research works with deans’ offices and campus support units to coordinate proposal assembly, industry partnerships, intellectual property support, and identification of private sponsors and research foundations.
