Description

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, and Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Authority, jointly support business-led collaborative research and development. The competition aims to strengthen UK and Swiss capabilities in emerging technologies and deliver new innovations and applications across sectors. It funds feasibility studies, industrial research and experimental development in semiconductors, life sciences and engineering biology.

Projects must offer a game-changing or disruptive idea leading to new products, processes or services. Proposals should demonstrate market demand, practical financial plans, significant UK economic or productivity benefits, and a route to commercialisation within two to three years of completion. Collaboration must add value for participants in both countries, with clearly defined arrangements for using and sharing intellectual property.
