Description
The Syensqo Fund presents these annual awards to Ph.D. graduates of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The awards recognize excellent doctoral research in science and engineering while encouraging young scientists to pursue inventive work relevant to current and future industrial activities.
The program also asks candidates to consider how their work could contribute to societal progress and a more sustainable future. Research excellence is a major selection criterion, alongside the ability to explain scientific work to non-specialists. Laureates are selected by a jury of Syensqo research and innovation experts, professors from both universities, and independent science and technology specialists.
