    Description

UN Women’s Bosnia and Herzegovina office seeks one civil society organization (CSO) to implement an integrated programme supporting women human rights defenders (WHRDs) and women journalists across the country. The intervention combines safety, legal, psychosocial and digital-security support with structured learning, mentoring, peer networks and collective advocacy. It aims to help women respond to gendered hate speech and related threats while continuing their public-interest work safely and sustainably.

The programme requires a common protection and referral framework, two differentiated learning and support tracks, and safe collective action informed by anonymized, aggregated evidence. It forms part of “Partnerships for Equality—No to Hate Speech and Divisive Narratives in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” supported by the UN Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund and jointly implemented by UNESCO, UNDP and UN Women with the Ministry of Communications and Transport.
