    Description

UN Women’s SAFE project, supported by the Ford Foundation, addresses violence against women and girls across community and digital spaces in West Africa. Implementation concentrates on Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal, while generating prevention models, learning and advocacy approaches relevant across the region. This call funds Output 1.3: strengthening safe, peer-led digital spaces and media platforms that counter online misogyny and promote positive identity models for young men, consent, empathy and non-violence.

Selected organizations will provide feminist technical guidance, safeguarding, digital safety training, moderation support and ethical mentorship to youth creators, influencers, networks and online communities. They will coordinate with UN Women and the youth organization selected through a separate SAFE call. Interventions must address connections between digital and offline violence through evidence-based, inclusive, youth-centred, feminist and intersectional approaches.
