Description
The Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO) offers this mini-grant to law enforcement agencies for underage alcohol-related selective overtime enforcement. Activities may include alcohol compliance checks, adult procurement initiatives, adult education or program presentations, and party patrols. Mini-grant activities must last no longer than 30 days.
The grant reimburses officers’ overtime salaries for work above the agency’s current level of enforcement; regular traffic enforcement must remain at its current level. Applicants use baseline injury data to define an objective for reducing fatal and serious injury crashes, then propose activities that respond to the identified problem.
