Description
Tulane University’s Undergraduate Activities Fund (UAF), administered through the Office of Academic Affairs & Provost, supports ongoing interaction between faculty and students beyond traditional classroom instruction. The program gives particular attention to students early in their college experience and emphasizes enjoyable activities connected to coursework that offer a different setting for faculty-student engagement.
Supported examples include special out-of-class Zoom meetings with outside guests, field trips by streetcar or city bus to course-relevant sites, and outdoor events in places such as Audubon Park. Guest sessions should be relevant to the course and fun for students—not simply another lecture. The program also provides administrative support for purchasing, reimbursements, and guest payments.
