The Undergraduate Research Award from the Mycological Society of America supports undergraduate students (sophomore, junior, or senior standing) in conducting independent or mentored research on any topic related to fungal biology, including medical mycology, cell biology, physiology, systematics, evolution, genomics, and ecology. The award aims to foster early research experience and promote engagement within the mycological community. Recipients are expected to contribute a short article about their research to the Society and provide a biography and photo for publication.
