Description
The Mershon Center for International Security Studies at The Ohio State University offers an annual undergraduate research grant to promote the study of international, national, and human security. The competition supports activities that strengthen a student’s research agenda, including collecting or acquiring data, conducting preliminary analysis, developing interdisciplinary collaborations, and undertaking other research-related work.
The program emphasizes research relevant to current security policy issues and work that contributes to completion of a student’s academic program, such as a thesis or project. The center’s senior management team selects the winning proposal, considering research quality, a specific research plan, a fiscally feasible and well-justified budget, and faculty endorsement. The selected student’s faculty advisor also receives support for research or other business-related endeavors.
