Description
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) offers this undergraduate fellowship to build the talent pool for doctoral study and careers in education research. Held during the AERA Annual Meeting in Toronto, the workshop covers education and learning from early childhood through workforce participation. Relevant areas include children and youth, schooling, higher education, education policy, student achievement, curriculum and instruction, education psychology, and education leadership.
Faculty and researchers from academic institutions and research organizations introduce major areas of inquiry, quantitative and qualitative methods, innovative approaches, and applications to policy and practice. Fellows present research in an undergraduate poster session, receive feedback, and work with faculty and graduate student mentors. Selected conference sessions, networking, and guidance on graduate education help participants explore the education research profession.
