Description
This grant supports research into how inhabitants perceive and interact with their neighbourhoods, focusing on the impact of these experiences on physical and mental health and overall well-being. The scope includes examining the sensory and emotional experiences of diverse and vulnerable groups in various neighbourhood types (urban, peri-urban, rural), and how these experiences differ across sociodemographic segments and neighbourhood characteristics. Projects must generate robust, comparable data validated across at least three neighbourhoods in three different EU Member States or Associated Countries. The research should provide actionable recommendations to local authorities and cultural sectors to improve community belonging, health, and guide the green transition of neighbourhoods. Proposals must use a participatory, transdisciplinary approach and integrate social sciences and humanities, with required collaboration with the New European Bauhaus hub for sharing results and impact assessment.
