Description
The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism runs Undiscovered SC to help communities develop publicly owned tourism products and attractions. It focuses on developing destinations whose historic, cultural, or recreational experiences are relatively unknown or underused, particularly towns, cities, and counties that lack the resources to realize their tourism potential.
Grants support the creation or expansion of viable attractions, including putting existing plans into practice or enhancing an existing tourism product. Projects are intended to add value to their communities, increase visitation to South Carolina, and generate visitor spending.
