Description
The University Research Challenge Fund (URCF) is an internal New York University program supporting faculty-initiated research. It has two complementary aims: encouraging investigators to explore new research areas likely to attract outside support, and supporting faculty engaged in productive scholarship in areas where few sources of support are available.
The URCF Advisory Committee administers competitive selection. The program’s stated priorities accommodate both research with prospects for external backing and scholarship with limited funding opportunities, rather than focusing on a particular subject area.
