Description
The University Research Professors program at the University of Kentucky honors faculty who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in research, scholarship, and creative activities. Established in 1976, this annual award recognizes excellence across all research disciplines at UK. Awardees receive a $10,000 grant to further their scholarly endeavors and may use the title "University Research Professor" for as long as they remain faculty at the university. Recipients are recognized at a special reception and at a Board of Trustees meeting, and may be invited to present their research to the board.
