Description
The Upland Game Bird Account Grant Program (UGBAGP) is administered by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to fund projects that enhance upland game bird populations and their habitats throughout California. The program uses funds generated from upland game bird hunting validations and stamps, as mandated by state law, to support initiatives such as habitat restoration, research on game bird ecology, enhancement of hunting opportunities, and outreach activities. Oversight is provided by a public advisory committee composed of nonprofit organizations focused on game bird conservation. The program annually releases a Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for competitive grant applications.
