Description
The URA Visiting Scholars Program (VSP) enables faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students from Universities Research Association (URA) member institutions to conduct collaborative research at Fermilab for periods ranging from short visits to up to one year. The program is designed to foster scientific and educational collaboration aligned with the Fermilab mission, supporting research in high-energy physics, astrophysics, theory, accelerator physics, materials science, computer science, engineering, and accelerator R&D.
Support may include travel and local lodging for short visits, or salary and round-trip travel for extended stays. The program is funded by contributions from URA-member universities in the US, UK, and Italy, and is administered through reimbursement to the awardee's home institution. The program aims to strengthen partnerships between URA institutions and Fermilab and to advance research in areas critical to the laboratory's mission.
