Description
The Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Ag Business Development Division runs this cost-share program for projects associated with urban agriculture. It supports small agribusinesses through workforce development or the promotion of agriculture to Missouri residents in designated urban areas. Priorities include agribusiness growth, production infrastructure, direct distribution venues, skills for long-term sustainability, and economic growth.
Projects may include business, marketing, or feasibility planning; community gardens or orchards; education centers; community kitchens; greenhouses; apiaries; energy conversion; and hydroponics or aquaponics. Eligible project supplies include plants, seeds, soil, garden tools, construction materials, kitchen and food-processing equipment, and storage equipment.
