Description
The Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), administered by the Florida Division of Emergency Management, is designed to help high-risk, high-density urban areas in Florida enhance their abilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from terrorism-related threats and incidents. Funding is provided to eligible nonprofit organizations located within designated UASI urban areas to strengthen security through planning, equipment, training, and other preparedness activities.
