Description
The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) runs the Urban Training Program to help urban transit providers develop management skills and professional networks. Scholarships support attendance at transit training, seminars, workshops, and conferences. The program is for organizations providing transportation or mobility management services in Virginia’s urbanized areas, defined on the program page as areas with populations above 50,000.
The program guidelines also identify eligible courses, driver roadeos, training, technical assistance, and related support services. Activities must address public or specialized transportation and suit the attendee’s level of expertise.
