--- ## Description The Urban Youth Action Flex Grant is designed to help organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh region provide direct support to Black middle or high school students for enrichment activities, educational needs, career, or entrepreneurial development. Typical uses of the grant include funding for field trips, school supplies, technology, transportation, and out-of-school activities. The program is part of POISE Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empower Black youth and continue the legacy of Urban Youth Action. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. - Monthly panel reviews occur on the second Monday of each month. - Grants are awarded first-come, first-served as funds are available. --- ## Funding Amount - Maximum award: up to $1,000 per applicant per year. - Only one application per organization per year is permitted. - Funds may be used to support more than one youth. - Annual support is not guaranteed and depends on fund availability. --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet **all** of the following criteria: - Be a 501(c)(3) organization or a fiscally sponsored initiative. - Have a mission or focus on educational or enrichment services for Black middle or high school students. - Use Flex Grant funds to assist Black middle or high school students with expenses related to enrichment activities, education, career, or entrepreneurial development. - Be located in the Greater Pittsburgh region (except for fiscal sponsors, who may be outside the region). - Organizations not yet 501(c)(3) designated may apply through a fiscal sponsor. - Only one application per applicant per year. --- ## Application Process 1. **Review guidelines:** Read the program guidelines in detail before applying. 2. **Submit application:** Apply through the [POISE Foundation grant portal](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=pfgrants).
