This award is designed to increase diversity in pediatric dermatology by supporting dermatology and pediatric residents from groups underrepresented in medicine (URiM). The program offers funding for mentored rotations, aiming to expose residents to the field, foster mentoring relationships, and encourage career development in pediatric dermatology. The award considers a broad spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to racial and ethnic background, LGBTQIA+ identification, physical or mental impairment, immigration status, socio-economic background, and other disadvantaged experiences. Pediatric residents interested in formal dermatology training are also eligible.
