The Urology Care Foundation Bridge Award, supported by Dornier MedTech and administered by the American Urological Association (AUA), is designed to provide critical, flexible funding to established urology researchers whose projects are threatened by financial gaps. These gaps may arise between major grants, during post–peer review revisions, or due to unexpected laboratory setbacks. The award aims to help independent investigators maintain project momentum and avoid disruption, supporting a broad range of urologic research including basic, translational, clinical, and patient-centered outcomes studies.
Unlike traditional grants focused on early innovation, this award specifically targets the "bridge" period—offering timely support to ensure that promising research continues while applicants seek or await larger, long-term funding.
