Description
This U.S. Mission Iraq Public Diplomacy program funds projects that advance U.S. policy objectives and foster deeper ties between the United States and Iraq. Eligible proposals should include a U.S. cultural element or involve American experts, organizations, or institutions to promote mutual understanding and highlight American values, policy, and excellence. The program welcomes a diverse range of activities, including academic lectures, cultural workshops, exchanges, media and digital freedom initiatives, preservation of Iraqi cultural heritage, English language acquisition, sports programming, and Freedom250 programming that emphasizes U.S. history and values.
Projects should target audiences such as youth, policymakers, educators, journalists, businesspeople, and minority groups throughout Iraq, with particular priority for southern and western provinces. Proposals are evaluated for their quality, feasibility, organizational capacity, alignment with program goals, and clear plans for monitoring and evaluation.
