Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports research or combined teaching and research on contemporary issues affecting relations between the United States and the Philippines. Projects are sought in all disciplines, with particular interests in economics, education, American history, non-U.S. history, journalism, and political science. Scholars may conduct research of their choosing and teach undergraduate or graduate courses at appropriate Philippine institutions.
The award advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships and promoting international understanding and cooperation. Scholars may also give public talks, mentor students, engage with host communities, or lecture at multiple Philippine institutions. Affiliation with universities outside Metro Manila is encouraged. The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) serves as the Fulbright Commission in the Philippines.
