Description
USArtists International (USAI) is administered by Mid Atlantic Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. It supports in-person international performances by professional U.S. artists and ensembles, helping them develop their careers and artistic goals through connections with audiences, presenters, curators, and fellow artists.
The program prioritizes tours that promote cross-cultural exchange through performances, workshops, and other activities, and elevate historically underrepresented voices, traditions, aesthetics, and art forms. It also encourages multiple engagements abroad to maximize touring effectiveness while considering environmental impacts. Eligible tours include a curated or juried international festival or performing arts market and may include additional qualifying performances.
