Description
This pilot scheme is run by the Medical Research Council (MRC), part of UK Research and Innovation, in partnership with Our Future Health. It covers data access costs for eligible MRC-supported researchers seeking to discover and test more effective ways to predict, detect and treat major diseases. Proposed research must fall within MRC’s remit to improve human health, and the scheme encourages studies that complement or extend existing work and develop ideas for future research.
Our Future Health is building a resource intended to reflect the diversity of the UK population and support better prevention, earlier detection and treatment of disease. The pilot seeks a diverse range of studies across the MRC research community. MRC and Our Future Health will also use it to understand demand for data access and identify operational difficulties.
