    Description

The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands (FFSL), within the Utah Department of Natural Resources, administers two Jordan River funding opportunities. The Recreational Access Grant supports improvements that increase access into and on the river, including boating, fishing, swimming, and wading. It draws on a one-time appropriation through Senate Bill 130 in the 2026 General Session.

The Corridor Improvements Grant supports a broader range of projects and programs across the entire Jordan River Parkway, on or adjacent to sovereign lands. Eligible work includes safety, recreation, conservation, restoration, maintenance, and environmental education. This opportunity draws on the ongoing Jordan River Recreation Area appropriation. Both programs seek projects consistent with the Blueprint Jordan River and/or management objectives in the Jordan River Comprehensive Management Plan.
