Description
The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) runs this grant to strengthen Utah’s food supply chain and increase access to locally grown and raised food, particularly in rural communities. The program supports investments in agricultural production, processing, dry and cold storage, distribution, market access, food safety, and local food promotion. Projects can include equipment, technology, certifications, and cooperative marketing that improve capacity from farm to consumer.
The 2026 cycle was funded through the Rural Health Transformation Program in partnership with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. UDAF aims to expand opportunities for Utah producers, address rural food-system infrastructure gaps, and increase the availability of fresh, whole, lightly processed, or eligible minimally processed food.
