Description
Utah Humanities and the Utah Historical Society jointly administer Oral History Grants to support oral history research, interviews, and transcription across Utah. The program aims to deepen oral history work statewide through focused projects that benefit local communities and document their cultures, traditions, and experiences.
Funded projects must make their work accessible beyond the archive. They deposit recordings, full transcripts, and related materials with the Utah Historical Society Special Collections as the primary repository, and may place additional copies with local public institutions. They also host a live public program where audiences can hear and discuss the stories collected.
