Description
The Utah Sexual Assault Program (USAP) provides state funding administered by the Utah Office for Victims of Crime to strengthen the direct response to and prevention of sexual assault across Utah. It supports rape crisis centers, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) programs, sexual assault coalitions, and other priorities identified each year. The goal is consistent, high-quality advocacy, medical care, and support for survivors wherever they seek help.
Funding may sustain core services and program operations, coordinate community response teams, and support prevention, public awareness, and evaluation. It may also cover survivor assistance for immediate needs, staffing, sexual assault–related training, and culturally responsive services or traditional healing activities.
