Description
Virginia Humanities at UVA Wise is a regional partnership based at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. Launched in December 2024, it supports humanities work that amplifies the experiences and perspectives of Southwest Virginia communities and brings people together through dialogue and understanding.
The grants can support public discussions, community history and oral history projects, exhibits, interpretive performances, media programs, publications, and research leading to programs with a direct public audience. Other supported activities include K–12 curriculum resources, teacher institutes, lectures, conferences with a strong public component, and project planning.
