Description
The Hope Foundation’s VA Staff Travel Support Program funds attendance at SWOG Cancer Research Network’s annual group meetings for VA staff who are SWOG members. It supports coordinators, nurses, and pharmacists through covered travel expenses for the spring and fall meetings. The program provides meeting travel support rather than funding a separate research project.
Established as part of the Blanke Veterans’ Access to Clinical Trials Initiative, the program honors former SWOG chair Dr. Charles Blanke’s leadership and sustained advocacy for VA medical centers and the veterans they treat. The Hope Foundation administers the program, reviews applications, and directly notifies selected travelers.
