Description
The VA Storefront Support Program, administered by the Hope Foundation, aims to expand access to cutting-edge cancer clinical trials for veterans by enabling Veterans Health Administration (VA) Medical Centers to initiate or enhance participation in NCTN and NCORP oncology trials. The program supports the formation of Storefront consortia—collaborative groups of several VA Medical Centers coordinated by a central hub site. These consortia share administrative infrastructure, expertise, and patient accruals, allowing sites with limited resources or experience to benefit from collective support and increase their ability to offer clinical trials to veterans. The initiative honors Dr. Charles Blanke’s legacy and is part of the Blanke Veterans’ Access to Clinical Trials Initiative.
