Description
The Vallejo Artists Mutual Fund, administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, is a unique grant program designed to empower Vallejo-based artists and cultural leaders to recognize and uplift peers whose work meaningfully contributes to Vallejo’s creative vitality. Departing from traditional grantmaking models, the Fund uses a peer-to-peer referral process in which initial grantees nominate additional artists and organizations, ensuring that funding circulates locally and honors those most valued by the community. The program aims to deepen connections among Vallejo’s creative community, foster mutual recognition, and provide flexible, unrestricted support to both individuals and organizations engaged in public arts and cultural programming.
