Description
The Vallejo Artists Mutual Fund is designed to empower Vallejo-based artists and cultural leaders to recognize, refer, and financially support peers whose work sustains and enriches the city’s creative and cultural ecosystem. Administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, this initiative departs from traditional grantmaking by placing decision-making directly in the hands of Vallejo’s creative community. Grants are distributed through a peer-referral process, circulating resources locally and strengthening mutual connections. Funding is unrestricted and intended to bolster both individual artistic practices and organizations providing public arts programming.
