Key Information: Applicants must have a knowledge valorisation function; research-only groups and individuals are ineligible.
VALLEYS Open Call #1 supports organisations that connect research and innovation actors with industry, policymakers, and society. Run by the EU-funded VALLEYS project, this cascade funding call supports practical implementation of at least one EU Code of Practice: intellectual assets, standardisation, industry–academia co-creation, or citizen engagement. The VALLEYS consortium awards and pays the funding itself.
Pilots can deploy and test the AI-enabled Knowledge Valorisation Toolbox, organise cross-border staff secondments, or combine both approaches. All must produce tangible outputs and a continuation or replication plan. The wider project aims to build a European Network of Knowledge Valorisation Intermediaries, strengthen intermediary skills and services, and connect innovation ecosystems, with particular attention to widening countries and less-connected ecosystems.
