Description
The PhRMA Foundation’s fellowship supports individuals in multidisciplinary, collaborative research training at accredited U.S. universities, extending their credentials in value assessment and health outcomes research. It funds empirical analyses and methodological studies investigating the delivery, safe use, effectiveness, and clinical, patient-centered, and economic value of medicines and other health care interventions.
Research may address clinical outcomes assessments, patient-reported or patient-centered outcomes, patient health preferences, and clinical and economic outcomes using real-world data and analytic tools. Other priorities include health equity and unmet need, novel value elements from different stakeholder perspectives—especially patients—and innovative decision and communication tools. Patient-centered value assessment frameworks and empirical health policy research are also within scope.
