Description
The Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology (SSCP) supports new projects and ongoing initiatives that improve scientifically grounded clinical training. Created in 2011 and dedicated in 2014 to former SSCP President Varda Shoham, the initiative funds training programs at the graduate, practicum, internship, and postdoctoral levels. It seeks especially innovative, transformative, or impactful approaches to integrating science and practice.
Priority goes to projects that engage students in collecting, analyzing, evaluating, or reporting data on clinical assessments or interventions. Supported activities can include evaluating treatment fidelity or clinical outcomes, developing evidence-based assessment resources, training clinicians in evidence-based practices, expanding treatment access for underserved populations, and building collaborations across training sites. Proposals identify their strongest contribution through one of four application tracks.
