Description
The Society for Vascular Surgery, through its SVS Foundation, supports trainees presenting research at the annual Vascular Research Initiatives Conference (VRIC). The award helps recipients cover conference attendance expenses and aims to stimulate research interest among trainees aspiring to become academic vascular surgeons. Top-scoring abstracts submitted to VRIC by trainees are considered for the award.
VRIC brings together scientists from diverse disciplines investigating peripheral vascular disease and its treatments. Its intimate setting encourages the free exchange of ideas and development of collaborative projects among senior and junior investigators. The award supports trainee participation in this research community and is made possible through support from Gore.
