Description
The Research Council of Norway funds verification projects that mature and validate technologies and innovations originating in publicly funded research organisations. Open to all subject areas, the call supports technological breakthroughs or significant improvements with potential to underpin new products, processes or services. Projects should resolve the critical uncertainties preventing the next step toward market uptake or societal exploitation.
Supported work includes exploring applications and market potential, preparing freedom-to-operate assessments and patent applications, validating technologies beyond the laboratory, and developing contacts with partners, licensees, investors, customers and users. Through its Innovation portfolio, the Council aims to strengthen competitiveness and innovation capacity, support knowledge-intensive businesses, and address societal challenges sustainably.
